Step outside and you are surrounded by the warmth, energy and everyday rhythm of a genuine Filipino community — a different side of Siargao, away from the busier atmosphere of General Luna. Because we are in the center of town, Burgos is alive and active, and at times it can be lively or naturally noisy. You may hear motorcycles, dogs, neighbors and the sounds of everyday community life. For us, this is part of the charm of staying in a real Filipino town and experiencing Siargao beyond the usual tourist areas. As with many places in the Philippines, power interruptions and occasional voltage fluctuations can happen, sometimes without notice. We currently do not have a generator, so during an outage some appliances and facilities may temporarily be unavailable. We always do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, but some things are simply part of island life and are beyond our reasonable control — including power interruptions, voltage fluctuations, local noise, weather conditions or occasional internet disruptions. We kindly ask you to keep these aspects in mind before booking, so you can arrive with the right expectations and enjoy the place as simple as it is. Other things to note Please note that we have a cat, Mocha, who roams only outside the house and throughout the surrounding neighborhood. Mocha does not enter the interior of the house. Please consider this information carefully before booking, as cancellations are not available for this reason.
